Priorities

Integrity & Accountability

This office belongs to the people of Spokane County and the Constitution of the United States. Not to a political party. Charging decisions will be based on evidence and the law, not on who is asking. Every victim who comes to this office will be treated as a victim, regardless of who caused the harm. This office will publish its outcomes and answer for them, because the people of Spokane County are owed that.

Safety

Public safety is the purpose of this office. It’s not a campaign promise. It’s not a talking point. Every decision made by the Spokane County Prosecutor should be measured by one question: Does this make our community safer? That means prosecuting serious harm without hesitation and investing in proven interventions that prevent reoffending. Both matter. Neither is optional.

Smart Justice

Prosecuting without addressing what drives the behavior doesn't make Spokane safer. It guarantees they will be back. This office will use every tool available — therapeutic courts, diversion programs, and evidence-based intervention — to break the cycle of harm that has burdened this community for years. Being tough on crime means being smart about crime.

Justice for Every Victim

Every person harmed in Spokane County deserves to be heard. That means victims of violent crime, domestic abuse, sexual assault, and property crime. It also means that when misconduct occurs, by anyone, the law applies. The officers who serve this community with integrity deserve a prosecutor who defends that integrity. That is what consistent, honest prosecution looks like. That is what this office will deliver.
